Ms. Hinojosa’s 4th grade class brought their plant‑structure learning to life this week by harvesting fresh greens from their classroom farmstand. Students explored roots, stems, leaves, and flowers up close as they prepared and enjoyed their very own salads. It was a hands‑on, delicious way to see how each plant part supports growth—and supports healthy eating too!

Grades K–3 had an unforgettable experience today with a live performance from Plan B Theatre. Students were captivated by Eb & Flo, the incredible story of Pink Floyd, the flamingo who escaped from Tracy Aviary and made the Great Salt Lake his home. It was a fun and engaging way to bring storytelling, curiosity, and local history to life!

The Wasatch Elementary Smart Stingrays Robotics Team had an incredible performance today, taking first place with an outstanding high score of 87. They earned the Teamwork Champion Award and the Judges Award. Their determination, creativity, and teamwork truly stood out. What an amazing day for the Smart Stingrays!

Good vibes, great friends, and even better dance moves! Wasatch 6th graders made this Valentine’s Dance one to remember!

Our Wasatch Eagles had so much love to give! From classroom games to recess fun, passing out valentines, decorating bags and boxes, and enjoying yummy treats, our day was filled with friendship, laughter, and lots of Valentine’s joy!

After eight weeks of winning the SOAR expectation challenge of the week (Self Control, On Task, Achievement, and Respect), Mr. Matt’s fourth graders made history. Their hard work paid off in the most unforgettable way when Principal Larsen climbed onto the teacher's desk and delivered the victory dance everyone had been waiting for. What an amazing accomplishment! Outstanding job, Mr. Matt’s class!

The Wasatch Stingrays Robotics Club is on fire! Our team earned 3rd place in a weekend competition, showing off their hard work and determination.

And today brought even more great news — the Stingrays were named Teamwork Champions at the DSD Scrimmage! Their communication, focus, and problem-solving made all the difference.

So proud of these incredible students and their amazing coach, Maddi Constant, and everything they’re accomplishing. Go Stingrays!

Wasatch Elementary is kicking off the 10 Book Reading Challenge!

From now until May 13th, students are invited to read ten books and earn a special reward. Students who complete the challenge will get to visit End Zone, where they can enjoy games and Legos. Let’s make this a school-wide reading celebration. Pick up a book and start reading your way to End Zone!

A big shoutout and thank you to our amazing PTA for going above and beyond! They have remodeled our faculty room, and walking into the updated space feels like a deep breath in the middle of a busy day. It’s a place where teachers can slow down, gather themselves, and feel supported. We’re truly grateful for the time, effort, and kindness that went into creating a space that lifts us up! Thank you, PTA!!!

Hilarious Headwear Day! Friday, January 16th! We earned this school-wide reward by showing great behavior and attendance! Wear your silliest hat to school: • Crazy Hats! • Wacky Caps! • Funny Headgear! Get Creative & Have Fun! No masks or things that cover your face!

Our 4th graders recently completed a meaningful service project as part of the Mind Up program, where they have been learning about the brain and how to regulate emotions.

Mr. Matt’s class created thank-you cards for the Clearfield Police Department and invited officers to visit and receive the notes and treats in person.

Ms. Hinojosa’s class spread kindness with surprise “kindness pranks,” writing encouraging notes and leaving treats at classroom doors before running away to keep it a secret.

We’re proud of our students for putting what they’ve learned into action and making a positive impact!

The Wasatch Robotics team, the Smart Stingrays, has finished building their robot, Lightning. Now they’re practicing maneuvers and working to score as many points as possible in one minute. Their first competition is coming up in January! A big thank you to Maddi Constant, our robotics teacher, who has been working with robotics for 11 years. Good luck, Smart Stingrays!
