From towering skeletons to larger-than-life dinosaurs, our campers spent the day exploring, climbing, and discovering at the Ogden Dinosaur Park. Curiosity was everywhere as students got up close with fossils, walked among prehistoric giants, and made connections that brought science to life.

Wasatch Eagles are making a splash at camp this week! Our campers have been working hard in swim lessons by practicing their kicks, building new skills, and getting more comfortable in the water every day. It’s been so fun to watch their confidence grow (and see all the smiles along the way).

Our summer campers had the cutest, unexpected visitors! Tucked by the fence, a pair of baby raccoons was spotted snuggled up for a cozy nap and quickly became the highlight of the day. Campers paused to observe from a safe distance, turning the moment into a real-life nature lesson at school. Curiosity, quiet observation, and a little bit of wonder made today one to remember!

Dry leaves and small debris surround the area, and the animals are nestled against the edge of a paved surface and a vertical metal post, appearing relaxed and tucked closely side by side.
Summer camp at Wasatch Elementary is in full swing! Campers are building skills in math and reading, exploring STEM through hands-on activities, practicing teamwork and SEL, creating art, getting active in P.E., and even trying out some cooking. Every day is full of learning, creativity, and fun.

🎉 Congratulations, Ms. Trujillo! 🎉 We are excited to announce that our amazing 6th grade teacher, Ms. Trujillo, has been recognized with the Lead From the Classroom award! This honor is especially meaningful because she was nominated by a parent who wanted to recognize the incredible impact she has on students every day. Ms. Trujillo was surprised with the award by Hollie Fisher, DSD Teacher of the Year for 2025, who also presented her with a cozy Minky blanket as a small thank-you for her big heart and dedication. In the nomination letter, the parent shared that Ms. Trujillo makes learning fun, memorable, and exciting. She was described as someone who brings energy and humor into the classroom, advocates fiercely for her students, and uses her voice to support not just her own class, but the entire school community. The letter highlighted how students know Ms. Trujillo always has their backs, encourages them when they need it most, and truly makes them feel seen and supported. We are so proud to have Ms. Trujillo leading from the classroom and making such a difference in the lives of our students here at Wasatch.💙📚

May has arrived, summer is calling, and as end‑of‑year excitement kicks in, the number of kids listening has officially dropped to zero — but there’s still plenty of learning and fun ahead.
