Big smiles, new friendships, and exciting discoveries are just around the corner! Our kindergarten team is thrilled to welcome a new class of Eagles for a year filled with learning, growth, and fun.

Meet our kindergarten teachers, Ms. Miles and Ms. Leavitt. Together, they are ready to help students build confidence, develop important skills, and create a strong foundation for future success. Kindergarten is a year of tremendous growth, and every day brings new opportunities to explore, create, and learn.

Throughout the year, students will become readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and problem-solvers. In language arts, they will practice sharing ideas, listening thoughtfully, and building early reading and writing skills. As their confidence grows, students will learn to understand stories, ask questions, and communicate their thinking in meaningful ways.

Reading will take students on amazing journeys. They will enjoy classic nursery rhymes and fables, discover how their five senses help them understand the world, explore favorite stories and fairy tales, learn about plants and farms, investigate weather and seasons, and study important people and symbols from American history. Every topic is designed to build curiosity, vocabulary, and a love of learning.

In math, students will develop number sense through counting, addition, subtraction, and problem-solving activities. They will explore shapes, measurement, and patterns while learning to think critically and explain their reasoning.

Science lessons will encourage students to ask questions, make observations, and investigate the world around them. They will learn about weather patterns, living things and their habitats, and how objects move and interact.

Beyond academics, kindergarten students will grow socially and emotionally as they learn to work together, show kindness, take responsibility, and become positive members of their classroom community.

The kindergarten year is truly a special one. From learning letters and numbers to making lifelong memories, our students will experience countless moments of discovery and achievement. We cannot wait to see them learn, grow, and soar this year.
