We are excited to announce that our amazing 6th grade teacher, Ms. Trujillo, has been recognized with the Lead from the Classroom award! This honor is especially meaningful because she was nominated by a parent who wanted to recognize the incredible impact she has on students every day.
Ms. Trujillo was surprised with the award by Hollie Fisher, DSD Teacher of the Year for 2025, who also presented her with a cozy Minky blanket as a small thank-you for her big heart and dedication.
In the nomination letter, the parent shared that Ms. Trujillo makes learning fun, memorable, and exciting. She was described as someone who brings energy and humor into the classroom, advocates fiercely for her students, and uses her voice to support not just her own class, but the entire school community. The letter highlighted how students know Ms. Trujillo always has their backs, encourages them when they need it most, and truly makes them feel seen and supported.
We are so proud to have Ms. Trujillo leading from the classroom and making such a difference in the lives of our students here at Wasatch.
