Teacher receiving Brain, Body, Boost Award

Congratulations to Ms. Jaden Camp for being selected as one of the 2026 recipients of the Select Health Brain Body Boost Award. Select Health and Wasatch Elementary is proud to recognize her dedication to helping students build healthy habits that support both their learning and their long‑term well‑being.

In Ms. Camp’s classroom, wellness is woven into everyday learning. Each week, students set simple, meaningful goals such as choosing a nutritious snack or spending more time outside. Through lessons on nutrition, movement, and the connection between daily choices and a student’s energy and focus, she helps children understand how to care for their bodies in practical, age‑appropriate ways.

Her students also participate in hands‑on projects that explore how the heart, lungs, muscles, and digestive system work. These activities spark curiosity and encourage conversations about active lifestyles and balanced meals, creating a learning environment where healthy choices feel natural and achievable.

“I want my students to understand how their bodies work and feel proud of taking care of them,” Ms. Camp said. “When they go home excited to share what they have learned, that’s when I know it’s making a difference.”

The award includes $1,000 for classroom resources, which will allow Ms. Camp to expand her wellness activities and continue creating meaningful experiences that benefit her students.

Congratulations again to Ms. Camp on this well‑deserved honor!
