At Wasatch Elementary, the sixth-grade team is ready to welcome students into a year full of discovery, creativity, and growth. Led by the dynamic duo of Ms. Scadlock and Ms. Trujillo, sixth grade is where learning comes alive through engaging themes and hands-on experiences. Students will dive into rich literature like Dahl & Narrative, Mysteries & Investigations, The Chocolate Collection, The Greeks, Summer of the Mariposas, and The Titanic Collection, each offering unique opportunities to explore storytelling, history, and critical thinking.
In addition to these exciting units, sixth graders will sharpen their reading and writing skills, tackle real-world math problems involving ratios, expressions, and statistics, and explore science topics like the solar system, energy, weather, and ecosystems. Social studies will take them on a journey through geography, history, civics, and economics, while healthy lifestyles, fine arts, and technology round out a well-balanced and enriching curriculum.
With Ms. Scadlock and Ms. Trujillo guiding the way, students are sure to feel supported, challenged, and inspired every step of the way. It’s hard to imagine a better team to help sixth graders thrive.
