Military Families
Here at Wasatch Elementary we want to make every child feel accepted and welcome. As a military child, transitioning to a new school can often present unique challenges. We want to help highly-mobile military children and their families throughout their transition, during deployments or extended TDYs, and other challenges presented as part of the military way of life.
We have a group of outstanding fifth and sixth grade students as part of our Student Council. They are standing by to take your child under their wing as they arrive at our school.
As your child transitions to Wasatch, members of Student Council, a Student-led program, will give your child a tour of our campus, a welcome packet, and answer any questions they may have.
We recognize the challenges military children can face during their parents' careers. We realize that understanding and empathizing for their needs requires skills that often go beyond training provided as an educator. Wasatch will share the S2S vision to help all educators know the challenges facing military families and how we can help. .
